Principle

The Magnetostrictive liquid level transmitter consists of three parts: the probe rod (include the guide-wave wire inside the probe rod), the circuit unit and the float. During measurement, the circuit unit generates an electric current pulse, which is transmitted downwards along the guide-wave wire and generates a current magnetic field. When the liquid level changing, the float moves up and down along the probe rod. There is permanent magnet inside the float, so the float also creates a magnetic field. When the current magnetic field comes across the float’s magnetic field, a torsional wave is generated and transfer upwards to the circuit unit along the guide-wave wire. The circuit unit calculates the actual position of the float to get the liquid level value according to the time difference between the electric current pulse generating and the torsional wave receiving.
